Activity 6 -The 10 shot story

What Went Well?
What went well was how we stuck to the task and did not add any extra action to the clip. We successfully created a continuity shot by using different shot types ranging from a point of view shot, long shot, med shot and a close up. We even experimented with camera movement, successfully using track to follow Becka leaving the room. We used with eyeline match to show what gained Becka's attention and also the amount of money in the wallet which made her want to take it. This was cleverly done as it revealed to the audience the main focus of the scene. We also showed the match of action in this clip when Becka is walking, this was a good technique to use as it made each shot flow and follow from the last shot yet still focus on the act. The editing was very good as it focused on the main parts of the scene. Although we added our own piece at the end, where a girl points at Becka who has just found the wallet, we still stayed on task. We managed to creatively tell a story without using any dialogue.

Even better if?
To improve our clip we could have had a master shot at 0.32 - 0.36 so the audience would have been aware of the location. The Mise en scene is unclear when Becka walks out of the empty classroom, at this point she finds a girl sitting down by the telly, reading, the audience can not tell from these two objects where the scene is set.
